Nah, Blunderov, The Hermit is a dimwit.

You got it wrong too.

And when you 'write it down', aren't you using symbols with assigned
semantics to them?
Aren't you coding the knowledge in a certain way?

That's what I want to do in a new language but with more efficiency, get it?

Yash.

I think all this business about hidden codes for Pi hidden in ancient verses
sounds like all that crap about how the geometrics of the pyramids are
supposed to contain some great mystic message for mankind or some such
drivel.

Why bother to encode such messages at all? I know priesthoods are secretive
but it seems almost as much trouble to remember how to decode the message as
it is to remember the value of Pi, or whatever. Why not just write it down
and get it over with?

The Hermit has gone to great lengths, even to the extent of writing a
program and providing his source code, to prove that you can find whatever
message you are looking for. It reminds me of one of those tricks like
"think of any number between 1 and 10, divide it by 2, now add 7, etc etc".

The Hermit is to commended for attempting to eradicate this nasty meme!
