Violet, would 'they' in ancient Greece be the Cynics, Epicurians or Stoics.
We know the Elementalist (from which we derive the science of Physics)
couldn't be the source of this Gnostic disaffirmation.

<quote kenneth:>
But how does the Virian thought say that the World came about and>if
>you go with the Big Bang theorem where did the atoms come from that
>slowly>become materials?>Basically if atoms are the core of all life where
>did the quarks come from>that made these atoms?
</quote>

Well, i have a simple answer to that one: we don't know! one thing i learned

from being raised catholic is that there are some things that you just don't

get answers for right away, and you have to search for them. I assure you,
some day (probably rather soon) science will give us answers to the big
questions like that. The very first atheists back in the day of the ancient
Greeks did not condemn their beliefs because they couldn't tell you where
teh sun came from; why should we forsake the same ideas because we don't
know where the universe comes from? answers shall come in time, but until
then, this is where just a little bit of faith comes in.

and on an entirely different note, i want to kill carrot top.
