virus: I have tried...

I have tried to guide this list back to its original purpose, first by
asking for cooperation in an analysis of the radical Islamic meme, then,
eschewing politics, by asking for participation in an analysis of the
Chaos Magick memeset, which seemed to me to inculcate elements of
Richard Brodie's Level 3 metaposition postulating belief itsef as a tool
to be wisely wielded. These list plaints have fallen on deaf ears; either
they were actively disparaged, or they died on the vine. All that
seemed to be happening here was for a white-male-and-affluent-guilt-
ridden cabal seeking expiation through the advocacy of self-destruction
to advise all and sundry that the best and only course to be taken by a
pluralistic and democratic society viciously attacked by a monolithic and
theocratic cult was to passively absorb the blows until they were
irrevocably beaten down. This was patently not memetic analysis;
rather, it was the propagandistic promulgation of a virulent meme which
was constituted and driven by the purported and vastly mistaken moral
necessity to acquiesce to domination by a theocratic and totalitarian
religio-fascist mindset.
I am beginning to believe that it is not only Hermit who has gone
quantums beyond the pale, but the list as a whole, after the horrific
decision that Davis Lucifer (McFadzean) made to cede control to such a
rabid, zealous and extreme memebotic ideologue that he would stoop to
slandering a dissident's mother.
It breaks my heart to see such a good thing go so bad.
There WILL be a Virus list that adheres to al least the semblance of
analytic objectivity; the future decisions this list makes will decide
whether it is this one, or another.
