virus: I'm back - with explaination - will only post it once

Why am I back? I was hiding at the Secret Hideout for the Loyal
Opposition and found out that the atmosphere has changed, for a time at
least.

For some reason I have a difficult time understanding, though I have
tried to explain before, no-one seems to understand why I left in the
first place.

It was not:

Because of Hermit's foul and less than honest posts, or Joe's aggressive
responses. I'm fine with that stuff - it's easiy to filter or ignore.
Because of Hermit's and others anti-American stance on all issues, it's
expected.

It is because of the following chain of reasoning.

1> The CoV is an organization'
2> This organization has human representatives in the form of a creator,
moderators, content developers, etc...
3> Parts of the organization that make comments while acting in their
official capacity speak for the CoV.
4> Hermit was mixing his moderating and banning practices with his
personal motivations and views. He was controlling content of groups
that he moderated and controlling infomation in such away as to diminish
argument and prevent contradiction to his views.
5> In acting in the above manner, Hermit spoke for everyone in the CoV
and dirtied our name to such an extent that I could no longer feel
comfortable risking public association with such a group.

Provided that Hermit is gone, and the practices like those I mention
above are to be a thing of the past, then I am glad to be back and hope
to contribute in a positive manner.

I did receive a message from David, the founder of the Church, that
illustrated his willingness to consider this issue. Though I suspect
that he disagrees with me, he has offered me the opportunity to moderate
a part of the BBS myself. I think it's a generous and kind offer to
make, but it does not speak to the point of my concerns. Those being
that official representatives of the CoV need to take an even handed,
objective approach to communications at all levels - that means only
banning people that e-attack the CoV in some way, and refarining from
moderating discussions of which the moderator is a part. If they cannot
do so, then they need to step down from their "official" position so as
to voice any opinion they choose.

I hope I am back to stay, if not, there is always the Secret hide out of
the Loyal Opposition
