I would have to say that for any proof to exist of the claim that truth is
stranger than fiction, that some concrete definition of "strange" must be
established. While a couple of examples have inferred that strangeness is
equivalent to unfamiliarity, they aren't necessarily the same thing.
Nonetheless, from my own interpretation of strange- I would say that fiction
may be stranger than the truth, especially if we take some situation which
is definitively true, and put all parties involved in clown costumes. Which
may be pretty damn strange indeed, but that's just my opinion :]
