if you mean by that remark that I only change my opinions when such change is logically and factually warranted, I heartily accept the compliment; if you mean that I refuse to change my opinions even when facts and logic dictate that I should, I equally heartily reject the insult. On this issue (the War on Islamofascist terrorism), the geopolitical map has shifted somewhat, but the ideological issues in contention (a conglomerate of participatory constitutional democracies with basic human rights, freedom of and from religion, and gender equality versus a global monoreligious-mandating fundamentalist theocracy, administered according to a sexist and brutal shar'ia law) remain the same, and it does not seem to me that the facts will not appreciably change for some time. It will be a globally contested yet lukewarm war (sometimes hot, sometimes cold) of long duration (probably as long as half a century), punctuated by intermittent terror attacks and regime changes.
