RE: virus: RE: He who makes the rules wins & What the Yashamite did next

Hermit suggests that in the light of the intelligent and beautiful Lady Z's
effective party style*, I have an alternative: "She who's on the make
rules."

And in the light of certain subsequent PsychoBitchy remarks, a corollary:
"She who rues being made will whine."

*And even more effective flamewar intervention technique

PS It wasn't me that Chit the Yashemite went after, but Kirk Steele. Who if
you had followed his posts would know is not stupid at all, although he may
sometimes appear that way when devoting his time to idiots. If you think
about it, the CoV hasn't given him much opportunity to deal with anything
else of late.

Here is a response to Mermaid which I previously put on ice, which
encapsulates the "What the Yashamite did next" saga:

<quote>
[Hermit 0] Because no matter how you dance and squirm and wriggle and try to
create your own projection of Kirk Steele, he did not take this match from
the virtual and into the real world, and attempt to cause harm. Yash did.

[Mermaid] Purely for research purposes...can you please explain the above?

[Hermit 1] Oh, the Mermaid didn't notice? She is usually such an avid
student of posts, seeking opportunities to belittle, that I thought that she
would have been among the first to know about it.

Here:

["virus: Kirk A. Steele and others. (was Blunderov says Goodbye).", Yash,

<quote>
[Yash] This kind of harrasment and underlying threats ("does your phone
number end in ... or ...") will be evoked with the Misawa Air Base formally
starting now if possible.
</quote>

[Hermit 1] And I have indisputable evidence that he did so... which was
exceedingly silly (a major escalation - but then we know that Yash is an
emotional fool). As the bishop said to the actress as he slid in the
last 8", "This is a different ballgame altogether".

[Hermit 1] It is as if somebody complained to your boss that you had somehow
threatened them by giving out their details (from the phonebook), from the
other side of the world, while you were connected using a company supplied
Internet connection (and where it was agreed that you could use the
connection as you wanted on your own time)... a totally invalid complaint,
but to coin a phrase, "Chit sticks whoever throws it."

[Hermit 1] Which might explain why I found the sight of the PsychoBitch
nailing herself ever more tightly to the last few inches of the rapidly
sinking mast of our Yashamite's malodorous reputation one of the less
edifying spectacles we have been regaled with recently.

PPS
[Mermaid] pain is often self inflicted.<and this, I swear, is the absolute
fucking truth>

[Hermit] How true this is. [e.g. "virus: Wriggle little Mermaid wriggle -
but you only set the hook deeper.",Hermit,Fri 2002-01-18 12:16]

[Mermaid] Bottomline...right now this place is the shits...

[Hermit] This is also true. Yet the Mermaid was part of the congregation,
perhaps she should ask herself what she has done to help, rather than
blaming the decor.
