Not that I am trolling, but I'd love to see a flame war between Kharin and Joe, if only for its literary value.
Serious now, when I came here I had to take some time to get used to some of the many personal styles of discussion, and I even managed to enjoy the lot of them. It so happens that I agree with Hermit and disagree with Joe on most issues, but obvously this was not the point.
I have been following all the posts and my impression is that Hermit, against his impulse, was keeping out of this most of the time for the sake of the CoV. Joe seems to have come to a similar point. We'll see.
Some of us were refraining from addressing the content of the political posts, and mostly Archibald had undertaken -- in his own way -- the task of a Titan of CoV. Given the way in which that discussion was being performed, he didn't do bad at all -- he lost only by a couple of megabytes.
