    That's a good passage. I liked the part about God being both benevolent and Devil; it has come up in things i've read before. That type of deity is generally dubbed Abraxas, i first heard it mentioned in Hesse's Demian. I think most experts on religion/history say that this particular type of deity, the god/devil, comes in a stage after monotheisms where God and Devil are separate entities. It may also be a precursor to pantheism, though i believe pantheism has much older roots than Abraxas-like gods.
