Well, no. Actually, that isn't nearly enough said. Religions are subject to the vicissitudes of tradition, culture and any number of other religions and their identity accordingly proves to be extremely fluid. While few would deny that many, if not all, religions share similarities, to assert that they are all 'a religion by any other name' is little more than fatuous. Beyond that, one has to observe that the causes of any conflict are likely to belong to a continuum of causal factors (i.e. political, social, technological, economic - and, yes, religious). I think it would be difficult to deny that both sides in this conflict have their fundementalisms which have helped escalate the situation. Rationalising religious fundamentalists of any kind to the point where they are solely described as dispossessed pseudo-marxist victims of class struggle is neither accurate nor helpful.
