spam is an anonymous 20 point 'refresher' with references or source

One may assume correctly that the above is targeted towards a pious xian
population. The above invites bias. The article instructs you that it 'makes
sense' and that its an 'education' and that its 'not slanted'. The emphasis
and repeated re emphasis is worth noting. (A story. There was a very poor
man who had obtained debts from every person who was better off than him.
After a point in time, he had to hide everytime a creditor spotted him. He
managed to evade them all until one day, a very angry lender came knocking
at his door. So he called his genius son and told him, "Son, there is a man
knocking at the door looking for me. When he asks for me, dont tell him
where I am..." And then he hid inside the laundry basket. The creditor
banged on the door. The boy opened the door. When the man asked for his
father, he said, "I have no idea where my father is..but no matter where he
has gone, he is definitely NOT inside that laundry basket right there." Such
is the situation. Spam like these would, should and have propelled people to
investigate the claims and complaints, thereby unearthing facts rather than
rumour and lies. And NO, I dont particularly love belting out stories. But
sometimes its easier to communicate by narrating stories..:)...)

makes the authors of the article open to criticism/accountability. Nobody
has to take responsibility for the spam. If you have a problem with any one
of the 20 points, who would you question? In the absence of a return address
and if you are lazy enough to pass it on to 20 more people WITHOUT
QUESTIONING the validity or without sufficient investigation, how quickly
does iffy facts propogate? (Of course, when I say 'you', I dont mean you,
ben...but rather as a figure of speech.)

'suggestive', *nudge* *nudge* tones. The spam raises "educational" points

One might wonder what that has to anything with civilians being murdered,
dispossessed, insulted, humiliated and driven out their houses and land
which belonged to their parents. And 'Tanach'?? Have you read the Tanach,
the Hebrew Bible? Have you counted the number of times 'Jerusalem occurs in
the book? So what if it occurs 700 times. I can say, "Jerusalem is where
Jerusalem is which was where Jerusalem used to be and unless nothing
untowardly happens, that is where Jerusalem will be for the rest of time as
we know it...and oh..Jerusalem is the eternal capital of all Jews who may
live in Jerusalem or live elsewhere in the world outside the boundries of
Jerusalem or at the outskirts of Jerusalem or within 25 miles of Jerusalem,
the township which should not be confused with Jerusalem, the city which is
the eternal capital of all Jews." Really? Do religious text have to make any
sense before a couple of people begin their chanting? Or do you honestly
believe that they are such an authority that it replaces history?...:)
Also:#8. Jews pray facing Jerusalem. Muslims pray with their backs toward
Jerusalem.
An intelligent person will immediately grasp the wicked and obvious slant of
this point. Moslems pray facing Mecca. Not by turning their backs towards
Jerusalem. Only those who live between Mecca and Jerusalem would turn their
backs to Jerusalem? Would a Moslem person living in Australia turn his back
to Jerusalem? Hmm...you might want to think that out and figure if these
points are indeed 'factual'. I can probably slash through every one of those
20 points. Unfortunately, I am a little pressed for time and its the weekend
even. I will work on it as soon as time permits. I promise.

seconds(suggestive again...i suppose on an unconscious level, it would make
a person skim through it quickly as if its a race to finish it in 90
seconds?) and pass it on to 20 other people without taking the time to check
the facts. Spam is evil, man and unsupported 'facts' doing rounds as spam is
a bigger crime. The scary part is that there ARE people who will send it to
20 other email addresses after taking only 90 seconds to read it.

information to the events in the Middle East" right now - a fact I find most
troubling.

posted earlier a url about debating tactics or was it about logical
fallacies? I will have to dig into the archives to get that out. I think it
will be worth a read for you in order to recognise facts from BS. Again,
that will surface when I get back.
