[ben] In any regard, I suggest we take any future research endeavors offline, as the lack of "audience participation" in this thread leads me to believe that our interest is not shared by the general congregation.

[Mermaid] Audience participation occurs on several different levels and since this is not a performance, you dont have to worry about that...I would like this discussion to evolve and be bought to a logical conclusion in this forum where it began.

[rhinoceros] It looks safe enough now. :)
I hope I won't be much off topic if I comment on the content of that article and not on the authenticity of the quotations.

What impressed me most from the article were the words of some infamous Zionists. First, they aknowledged the facts and they almost empathized with the Palestinians. Then, they concluded that the Palestinians would fight to the end because they were right and they urged Israelis to forget about peace and fight for their own good.

In my opinion, this shows that the bare facts, even if true, cannot tell you what should be done. This is something you have to decide for yourself, according to your own system of values.

The historical part of the article is also important, but not as importanta as the fact that more that two or three generations of people have been born there. Today, this includes both Palestinians and Israelis.

[Mermaid] I have absolute conviction, based upon my observations, perceptions and study, that the Jews for Justice compilation is factual. It supports and reflects my own views.

[ben] Is the relationship between the statements made in those two sentences coincidental or causal?

[Mermaid] Excellent question. I dont know.

[rhinoceros]
I think it is usually a kind of "iterative refinement" of the material you find and -- sometimes -- of your views. It is a procedure containing both causality and coincidence.
