Oil your balance scales and put your blindfold back on.

You may well be right Walter; I was simply trying to call it as I see it (and I think I made clear I did find fault with Hermit), though I am sure that my perspective is as flawed and incomplete as anyone's. Whatever the cause there is clearly something rotten in the state of Virus, which has pushed it to the very brink of destruction and, I fear, beyond.

My suggestion would be for us both to wait and see how things proceed in Hermit's absence. Though I suspect the list will be quieter, I regret to say that I am not optimistic concerning its future in any other respect. I would certainly observe that there is precious little point having any kind of discussion group when there appears to be no tolerance for dissenting opinions (thinking of that 'Anti-American' PC omerta drivel). As someone who found fault with the opinions of both sides a civilised and open discussion would have been extremely valuable. I take it all are agreed that there is no resemblance between that and what we have had?
